Elizabeth Jane Hurley was an English model, actress, and television star that gained notoriety in the 1990s when she was the girlfriend of Hugh Grant. When Grant's film Four Weddings and a Funeral received global media attention, Hurley accompanied Grant to the film's Los Angeles premiere wearing a black Versace dress and gold safety-pins. It instantly brought her fame in the media. Her relationship to Estee Lauder has been the highlight of Hurley's career. Hurley was first offered a modeling contract with the company in the year she turned 29. Since then, the company has employed Hurley as a model for their products, especially for perfumes like Sensuous Intuitions and Pleasures.
